Dirty Douglas Radio began sometime in early 2012 as a late-night program on WUML, UMASS Lowell’s radio station. Originally hosted by Ben Kaplowitz and Angus Holden, the show was dedicated to playing exclusively bands who had played at The Dirty Douglas, at the time one of Lowell’s beloved underground venues.

After the Dirty Douglas closed its doors in June 2012, the show was expanded to showcasing bands which had played at any of the underground venues in Lowell.

As far back as October 2012, episodes were being recorded with the intent of podcasting them. It’s been a couple years. So get ready to listen to the podcast, finally.
